On the west face of Nanga Parbat, ten mountaineers from different countries <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outsideonline.com\/1917576\/inside-nanga-parbat-murders\">are dying under gunfire,<\/a>\u00a0in Base Camp. Pakistani military evacuates more than 40 climbers from the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>On the opposite side, a five-person Romanian team is working hard to equip the climb. When the dreadful news hits, they need to make a decision \u2013 and fast. Give it up? Or carry on?<\/p>\n<p>Spanning several months in 2013, <a href=\"http:\/\/torok.ro\/\">Zsolt T\u00f6r\u00f6k<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/teofil.vlad\">Teofil Vlad<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/marius.gane.1\">Marius Gane<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/salasan.aurel\">Aurel S\u0103l\u0103\u015fan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bruno.adamcsek\">Bruno Adamcsek<\/a> had to make dozens of decisions to accomplish their mission: to ascend the summit of Nanga Parbat, one of the world\u2019s most difficult 8,000-meter mountains.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did they choose the objective and the team?<\/li>\n<li>On what basis did they make decisions?<\/li>\n<li>How did they work under pressure?<\/li>\n<li>How did they distribute tasks?<\/li>\n<li>How did they deal with danger?<\/li>\n<li>Why communication was crucial?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SUMMITEERS, a program for teams based on true stories, digged into the facts and built a case-study.
