Larisa is a person equally serious and cheerful. I first met her when she was a student; she gave me English lessons and she was studying Japanese for a trip to Tokyo. She is energetic, positive and smiles often. It is important that she isn’t cynical yet, though she has worked in the press, in marketing and PR, fields where you often meet plenty cynics.

There are few persons who can give you the feeling that they may be in several places at the same time. Larisa is one of them. First time you meet her, her roguish smile makes you think. In time, the mystery will be revealed. She smiles because she knows it already; because nothing is too difficult for her. That may be an interview hard to get or a piece of advice for a colleague. No matter the situation, she will make it out somehow. She will get that scoop and a new friend, too. While smiling, every time.

If I became a media owner tomorrow, the first person– and journalist, among other things – I would think of to take in my team would be Larisa.
Larisa has strength and daring. She does what she says. Maybe she should tell more about what she does. But she has that humbleness we all would need day by day. The rest is… tittle-tattle

Larisa has an intelligent tone. She’s a sociable person, easy to be with. She once wrote me an email to ask questions about the Daiso business. When I couldn't understand some part of the email, I showed it to a friend. She said ‘I have never seen such a beautiful mail in English!!!’ Of course, Larisa is a writer, but an email shows one's mind and character, I think.

I had several interviews with Larisa while being General Manager of Ringier Romania. And I closely followed her articles in Money Express. Larisa is a highly talented journalist with profound ethical standards. She is keen on facts and getting as close to truth as possible and had never let herself be used as an embedded PR-journalist as many did and still do in Romanian editorial offices. Larisa was always fair and correct and, besides that, a very good writer.

She is a good journalist. She has a pleasant writing style. She has a calling for this. I hope she’ll keep on writing.

Larisa was the only journalist well informed, prepared and insightful enough to make me think. Smart girl.

You don’t have to be a Boeing pilot to write a competent article about the aeronautic industry. It is difficult, though – impossible sometimes – to write a story on a certain field that looks faultless in the eyes of a professional in that field. Yet, Larisa’s articles on media and advertising issues that I used to get in advance before going to print – ‘just for checking’ – were faultless.
There are two possible explanations for that: either Larisa is very earnest, rigorous and knows her job to the slightest detail or I am not good enough in what I do. Modestly, I like to believe that the first explanation is the right one.
