Discovery Channel broadcast Pura Vida/The Ridge documentary film in Romania, on the National Day (December 1st). Pura Vida tells the story of a rescue attempt in the Himalayas. In May 2008, ten climbers from different countries put their lives to risk in an attempt to try saving Spaniard Inaki Ochoa de Olza, who had suffered a stroke at 7,400m on Mount Annapurna (8,091m) from Nepal.
Denis Urubko, the living legend of Himalayan mountaineering and a key- protagonist, attended the launch event as special guest (photo).
The project demanded six months of work and involved management tasks across Europe.
